Programme
18h00 · Accueil, networking verre en main
18h30 · Conférence : deux personnes, deux voix, deux histoires.
Pas d’écran. Pas de slides. 20 minutes chacun, puis tes questions

Chiara Debenedetti
Global Head of Data and Analytics – International Committee of the Red Cross
Chiara Debenedetti, PhD, is a digital transformation, data and AI leader, scientist and humanitarian. She is currently Global Head of Data & Analytics and Head of the Global Data, Analytics and AI Office at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Geneva, where she leads the organisation’s institutional data and AI strategy.
Her career began in fundamental physics. She completed her PhD at the University of Edinburgh, carried out at CERN on the ATLAS experiment, with research focused on data analysis for the search for the Higgs boson. She then spent five years at CERN as a postdoctoral researcher for the University of California, Santa Cruz.
She subsequently moved from scientific research into data science, digital transformation and humanitarian analysis, building a career at the intersection of technology and societal impact.
At the ICRC, Chiara works on one of the most challenging versions of the data and AI question: how can an organisation operating in conflict and humanitarian environments use data and emerging technologies responsibly, while protecting people and respecting the principles at the heart of humanitarian action?
Her work explores the opportunities created by AI while grappling with questions around data privacy, security, ethics, governance and responsible innovation. She has also been active in discussions around human-centred AI and technology for the common good.

Anna Mantsoki is Head of Data, Innovation and Projects at Médecins Sans Frontières in Geneva.
She holds a PhD in bioinformatics from the University of Edinburgh and began her career in computational biology, including a year at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center.
She then spent close to eight years at FIND, the global alliance for diagnostics in Geneva, moving from data manager to Principal Data Scientist, where she led data science across its health programmes and its digital transformation initiative.
Her career combines scientific research, data science, technology and humanitarian impact, with work spanning infectious diseases, diagnostic innovation, data visualisation and digital solutions.
